Large-Scale Serum-Free Culture Service for ADSCs

Location of mesenchymal stem cells.

Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (ADSCs) have become a highly promising cellular resource in fields such as regenerative medicine, anti-aging therapies, and refractory wound healing, thanks to their abundant source, easy accessibility, strong proliferative capacity, and significant immunomodulatory and tissue-repair functions. However, traditional enzymatic digestion of adipose tissue yields a limited number of nucleated cells with substantial batch-to-batch variation, making it difficult to meet the stringent demands of clinical-grade applications or large-scale research projects for cell quantity, purity, and consistency. The core bottleneck in industrial translation lies in upstream production—whether limited starting materials can be efficiently and stably expanded into sufficient cells that meet quality standards.

To address this, Creative Diagnostics offers a professional large-scale culture service for Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (ADSCs). This service aims to use a standardized serum-free, scalable expansion process to efficiently convert small amounts of client-provided adipose tissue or low-passage ADSCs into high-purity, fully functional, large-scale cell products. This provides a reliable and ample supply of "seed cells" for downstream clinical research, new drug development, and end-product formulation.

Core Service Content

Creative Diagnostics provides end-to-end, customizable service solutions from cell initiation to final delivery.

Service Module Specific Content
Adipose Tissue Digestion & Primary ADSC Isolation Utilizes an optimized digestion and isolation protocol on client-provided adipose tissue to obtain highly viable primary ADSCs.
Large-Scale Serum-Free Expansion Culture Employs chemically defined, serum-free medium throughout the process. Cells undergo standardized, scalable expansion in controlled systems (e.g., multi-layer vessels or bioreactors) to ensure uniformity.
Rigorous Full-Process Quality Monitoring Monitors key process parameters including cell morphology, density, viability, doubling time, and metabolic indicators to ensure process stability and reliability.
Comprehensive Cell Product Release Testing Performs mandatory sterility testing (bacteria, fungi, mycoplasma) and endotoxin testing on the final cell product according to industry standards, accompanied by a detailed immunophenotyping report.
Cell Cryopreservation, Formulation & Banking Conducts controlled-rate freezing per SOPs, delivers ready-to-use cryovials, and can assist clients in establishing qualified Master Cell Banks (MCB) or Working Cell Banks (WCB).

Service Advantages

Our core technical advantage lies in the integration of efficient expansion, high-purity output, and high-standard safety control.

Leveraging a mature serum-free stem cell culture platform, we achieve a stable and efficient expansion of ADSCs exceeding 100-fold within two weeks, effectively overcoming the industrial bottleneck of limited starting cell numbers. The cell products we deliver possess well-defined, superior quality attributes: key positive markers (CD29, CD44, CD105) show expression rates >95%, while markers related to hematopoiesis and immune rejection (CD14, CD34, HLA-DR) show expression rates <5%, ensuring a high-purity cell population with definitive mesenchymal stem cell characteristics. All product batches pass comprehensive microbiological testing, with negative results for viruses, bacteria, fungi, mycoplasma, and endotoxins, providing safety assurance for preclinical research and translation. Our process platform has successfully supported the scalable expansion of multiple stem cell and immune cell types. Its proven robustness allows us to flexibly meet diverse clients' needs for customization and scaled production.

Workflow

In-depth discussion of project goals, required cell quantity, specifications, and special testing needs. We then provide a customized technical proposal and detailed quotation.

Clients provide adipose tissue samples or specific passage ADSC seed cells. Our laboratory receives samples under standard conditions, performs quality assessment, and initiates pre-processing.

Initiation of the standardized expansion process. Cultivation proceeds under tightly controlled environmental parameters, with full-process monitoring and recording of key growth data by specialized technicians.

Upon reaching the target cell number, cells are harvested gently. The cell product then undergoes full immunophenotyping, sterility/safety testing, and functional activity sampling.

Delivery of complete documentation including the Cell Preparation Record and Certificate of Analysis, along with high-quality cryopreserved cell products meeting shipping conditions. Thawing and usage guidance is also provided.

Stringent Product Quality Standards

We implement strict quality control for every batch of ADSCs, with core standards covering identity, safety, and function.

  • Cell Identity & High Purity: Rigorous flow cytometry analysis ensures the final product meets internationally recognized MSC phenotype criteria: Proportions of CD29+, CD44+, and CD105+ cells are all >95%; concurrently, proportions of CD14+, CD34+, and HLA-DR+ cells are all <5%, confirming a pure mesenchymal stem cell population of non-hematopoietic origin with low immunogenicity.
  • Excellent Cell Viability & Proliferative Potential: Pre-cryopreservation cell viability is ≥90%. Expansion curve validation confirms the cell population possesses strong in vitro proliferation and passaging capacity, ensuring its potential for subsequent applications.
  • Comprehensive Microbiological Safety: The final released cell product shows negative results for bacteria, fungi, mycoplasma, and endotoxin testing, complying with the fundamental safety regulations for biological products.
  • Reliable Multi-lineage Differentiation Potential Verification: We can provide sampling test reports demonstrating that the cells possess the classic functionality to differentiate towards adirogenic, osteogenic, and chondrogenic lineages under specific induction conditions, a key indicator for assessing ADSC functional activity.
The service is for research only, not for clinical use.
